Big renovated country house in Sweden’s Provence

This is a huge charming old farmhouse for a big family gathering or a group of friends wanting to vacation together. Totally modernized and well renovated at the very best location in Österlen, Sweden’s Provence, close to charming quaint fishing villages, restaurants, the most beautiful walks-by-the-sea in Sweden, stunning fields with open skies, Swedens’s most beautiful golf court and only a very short drive to white sandy beaches and one and a half hour from Copenhagen. You can cycle to the sea or go by car in 3 minutes. Quiet,authentic and extremely well equipped.

There are six bedrooms, each with it’s own bathroom and both with king size and two single beds and some bed sofas. Access to the big bright living room with many sofas, a library and a big kitchen, quipped with everything you need for cocking for a big group, suitable for preparing a meal together. The inner yard is typical for Österlen cobble stone inner yard with many flowers and sitting and eating options.
You rent the whole house with access to everything, including washing machine and some bikes. The house is easy to reach and have ample parking space. You can bike to the sea and the closest store but you would need a car for the rest.

The neighborhood
Österlen is considered the ”Provence of Sweden”, it is a farming and fishing district that has turned into one of the most thought after and popular places to visit and live (artists and writers) in Sweden. Nature is awe inspiring with huge fields and big skies, the Baltic sea offering easy access biking and walking, old fishing villages turned to quaint havens for restaurants and charm, the famous centre for apples in Kivik, where apples are treated like wine in France, gold courts and the Danish iland of Bornholm and the Danish capital Copenhagen close by. There is much do do but in no way crowded, everything is still genuine and very well kept.
Getting around
You need a car, there are no public transport close to the house. You can borrow the bikes of the house to cycle down to the sea or to our closest village, Gislöv, with one of Österlen’s best restaurants.

Your host:
I am a well known Swedish writer, I organize cultural events and writing workshops in the house, but when I rent the whole house I let my guests feel free and take over the space. I or someone else- will always be available should any problems or questions arise.
