Summer house with private beach, jetty and sauna

We had a wonderful stay and gladly recommend this little paradise to everybody. We reached Vaxholm by boat from Stockholm, and Hans picked us up at the harbour and sailed us out to the little island. We - my husbond and I - spent a week swimming, reading and just sitting on the terasse enjoying the view and the boat traffic passing by. We took trips in the little boat to Vaxholm to shop and to look around on the other small islands. One day it was very stormy and we had to stay on the island - but it felt very cosy and relaxing since we had food (and wine) enough to survive the day :) Both Hans and Anna are very nice and helpful people and their thoughtfulness and concern made our stay even better!

We spent two weeks in this house in August 2022 - and had a fantastic time. The house is located on a small island close to Vaxholm. We didn't use a car at all. We used the small boat with the outboard motor to nip across the water (5 minutes) and then walked into the centre of Vaxholm (another 10 minutes). From there we could go shopping, eat out, or take a boat into Stockholm (one hour) or a bus (slightly quicker, but not so beautiful). For a holiday, this was a great rhythm of life. Along with the sunsets and candles in the evening, we found ourselves settling into the natural rhythm of the days, both going to bed and getting up early. All five of us unwound and relaxed. The house itself has a classic feel, but the conveniences of a modern house. Big windows let in a huge amount of light and all the things that you might want in your own holiday home are there. And Hans and Anna were really thoughtful hosts who went the extra mile for us!
