Newly built & modern mountain house

Welcome to this newly built and modern mountain house in Dalvallen, Storhogna, close to hiking, cross-country trails, snowmobile trails, and slopes.

The house features a large and welcoming great room with an open ceiling and a quality fireplace from "Brunner" - perfect for a fire after a day out in the snow.

The kitchen and living room have an open floor plan with a kitchen island/bar. There are two bathrooms with showers, and a sauna with a balcony door leading outside.

It is about 350 meters to the ski in/out connection trail to Klövsjö/Storhogna slopes, and cross-country trails are just around the corner, as well as snowmobile trails. Many other trails are also nearby, along with the Storhogna trail center. The area also includes the Storhogna high mountain hotel and spa, as well as the M restaurant and activity house.

Total of 8 beds:

Bedroom 1, upstairs, double bed with a door to the balcony and a view of the beautiful valley. Double wardrobes. The beds can be made into two single beds.
Bedroom 2, upstairs, double bed. Larger chest of drawers.
Bedroom 3, downstairs, bunk bed with workspace/screen & wardrobe. Under the bunk bed, there are two extra mattresses.
Bedroom 4, upstairs living room. Sofa bed, 2 people (double bed).
The house has Wi-Fi, 2 TVs (48 + 55 inches), Apple TV, and Bluetooth speakers. Parking for two cars is available at the cabin. There is also a charging station for electric cars on the property at cost price.

The house is rented weekly with changeover day on Saturdays or by agreement. Access to the cabin is given from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival and it must be vacated by 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

We prefer that cleaning is handled by a cleaning company. We can provide contact information at a cost of 1140 SEK after tax deduction, but we also accept if you prefer to clean yourself. Cleaning instructions are available in a binder in the house.

Please bring your own bed linen and towels. All guests must be at least 25 years old. The age limit does not apply to children accompanied by a guardian. Smoking or pets are not allowed.

More about skiing: Cross-country and snowmobile trails are accessible from the property boundary. Different color markings for cross-country skiing. The trails run through the terrain between the houses and up to Klövsjötoppen, where the nearest café/restaurant is located. At the trail center down by the campsite, you can connect to trails towards Vemdalen or up to Storhogna high mountain hotel. The ski trails are maintained by Skistar, and there are connections between all areas such as Vemdalsskalet and Björnrike. If you want to go on a tour, you can also start from the high mountain hotel and go up to the high mountain plateau, where the hotel maintains a wonderful trail that connects to Samevistet, where waffles and coffee are served. A must in good weather! The hotel also has a snowcat that regularly goes to Samevistet. From Samevistet, you can also connect to Vemdalsskalet. More info on Storhogna’s website.

For downhill skiing, you can either glide a bit or walk/skate from the house to the transport trail. Alternatively, take a car to the high mountain hotel or other areas such as Klövsjö, Vemdalsskalet, or Björnrike. Skistar manages the lifts, and the same lift pass is valid in all areas. Even in summer, Storhogna and Vemdalen offer magnificent nature experiences.

Eating and drinking on the slopes: On the Klövsjö side, there are several places. See the piste map. On the Storhogna side, there is the M-house for simpler dinners and lunches. The M-house also has bowling alleys and a bar. At Storhogna high mountain hotel, there is a nice lunch buffet every day and exquisite 3-course menus in the evening, alternatively à la carte or pizza. The nearest ski school is run by the high mountain hotel in Storhogna. In Klövsjö, Vemdalsskalet, and Björnrike, Skistar provides the ski school.

You can shop for groceries at the local ICA stores in Klövsjö, Vemdalsskalet, or Vemdalen. In Vemdalen, there is also a new COOP with the option to pick up pre-ordered grocery bags. In the M-house in Storhogna, there is also a self-service store where you identify yourself with Bank-ID and shop. Here you will find the most common items but it is not a full-range store.

The nearest Systembolaget is in Svenstavik, 50 km away, but there are pick-up points in Vemdalen village and ICA Klövsjö where you order a few days in advance. A tip is to bring wine and beer if desired.

Even in summer, Storhogna and Vemdalen offer magnificent nature experiences.
