On Ljusterö there is plenty to do for young and old, swimming, restaurants, ice cream kiosk, guest harbor, steamboat pier and more.

In a storage cabin there are games, one men's and two women's bicycles to borrow and an extra fridge/freezer.

From the cabin it is 350 meters down to the water. There is a sandy beach with a swimming pontoon with diving tower. 150 meters away there is nice rock swimming and after another 150 meters there is a marina with jetties from which it is also possible to swim.

It is also possible to rent a boat berth here.

At Åsättra Brygga 1.5 km from the house there is an ice cream kiosk and from here there are also some lines with Waxholmsbolaget, including to Nässlingen, Husarö and Möja. here you also find the bus station.

It is 5 km to Ljusterö square, where there is a grocery store, pharmacy, system company and post office, restaurants.
Linanäs is 15 km away and there are two restaurants, a guest harbour and a grocery store on the pier. The steamboat S/S Storskär also docks here on weekday evenings, as well as other Waxholm boats.
Wonderful day trips can be made to Vaxholm and Stockholm. Close to Norrtälje, which is a wonderful summer town. Wira bruk is located close to the ferry terminal on the mainland.

You can get to the house by car or bus. There is a road ferry from the mainland to the island and it runs every 10 minutes in the summer, the crossing takes 5-6 minutes. It is located about 8 km from the cottage, about 15 minutes by car.
