Charming house with guest cottage in Vamlingbo

Welcome to our idyllic countryside home in beautiful Vamlingbo, located on the southern part of Gotland (Sudret). Here, you stay surrounded by open landscapes and coastal charm, with easy access to beaches, nature, and cultural attractions on both the east and west coasts.

Accommodation

The property includes a main house (approx. 100 sqm) for 4 guests and a newly renovated guest cottage (approx. 20 sqm) that accommodates another 4 guests – a total of 8 guests.

Main house:
• Bedroom 1 (ground floor): Double bed
• Bedroom 2 (upstairs): Two single beds – newly renovated in 2024

Guest cottage:
• One room with a double bed and a bunk bed – ideal for a family with children or multi-generational stay

We primarily rent out to families or multi-generational groups (e.g. a family traveling with grandparents) looking for a calm and relaxing environment. The house is best suited for those who appreciate nature, tranquility, and the cultural landscape of Gotland.

Kitchen & Amenities

The house features a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, hand blender, and electric whisk – everything you need for preparing meals. Please note there is no dishwasher.
The main house also includes a bathroom with shower, toilet, and washing machine.
Wi-Fi is available, and there’s a Smart TV where you can log in to your own streaming services like Netflix.
A cozy wood-burning stove provides warmth for cooler evenings.

Outdoor Space

Outside, you’ll find a lovely south-facing patio with a large dining table and a charcoal grill – perfect for summer dinners.
The spacious garden includes a traditional farmyard setting with an old barn and stable. The property is surrounded by grazing pastures and open countryside, offering a peaceful and scenic setting close to everything Sudret has to offer.

• Beaches on both the east and west coast are within 5 km – including soft sandy beaches, piers for swimming, and beautiful rocky shores ideal for day trips
• Walking distance to Vamlingbo Prästgård, featuring the Lars Jonsson Art Museum, a nature center, restaurant, and seasonal pop-up shops
• Walking distance to Vamlingbolaget, a boutique and textile workshop
• 4 km to Bottarve Museum with a large outdoor playground for children (“Tottes Täppu”)

Sustainability & Local Guidelines
• The house has its own private well. Since Gotland often experiences water shortages in summer, we kindly ask all guests to use water sparingly and responsibly.
• Recycling is mandatory on Gotland. We ask all guests to carefully sort their waste and bring recyclables to the local recycling station in Hundlausar, just 5 km away.
