with Stockholm downtown rather close (approximately half an hour by car, 35 min by local bus or 1 hour by boat). From Vaxholm (4 km from Resarö) you can reach almost every part of the achipelago by ferry, visit waxholmsbolaget.se for time schedules. Vaxholm in itself is a cute town with a rich cultural life, plenty of

Even though Resarö is an island in the heart of the beautiful Stockholm
Archipelago, a road is connecting the Island with the mainland and Vaxholm. Drive E18 North from Stockholm. Take off at the exit Arninge/Vaxholm and drive towards
Vaxholm. After 10 minutes there is a sign with Resaro. Take left and drive 2
kilometers to the center of the island. Take right and then right again on
Bygardsvägen.
