Charming house in picturesque village of Mollösund

A charming, traditional and carefully renovated house with four rooms (3 bed rooms) and a kitchen with a nice atmosphere, available for weekly rent during summer period.

Two comfortable beds in each of the three bedrooms. Together with two extra beds and a bed sofa the total no of beds are up to 8-10.

Enjoy your holidays by the sea in picturesque Mollösund in southwest of Orust island, about 1h drive north of Gothenburg, about 3h from Oslo. Main town is Henån. Closest city is Stenungsund (40 min by car).

Supermarket open daily 10-16h (08-20h in summer).

Mollösund is situated in the heart of Bohuslän, West-Sweden’s coastal area with countless islands in its archipelago.

The small village is popular with mainly Swedish summer guests. I have had also some guests from both Switzerland, Germany and Norway.

The house has a very good and sunny location in the old, beautiful and most attractive part of the village.

On the ground floor of the house:
-a spacious kitchen with full modern equipment

-a living room with a cozy fireplace, flat screen TV 46 inch and a sofa (sofa bed, 135cm bed)

-a bedroom / living room (bed 90cm, bed 80cm, extra bed 80cm).

- a small but modern bathroom with shower and WC

Upstairs there are two bedrooms:

Room 1: bed 180cm. Exit to balcony with afternoon and evening sun. This room has direct entry from the stairs and normally no door is installed inbetween.

Room 2: bed 160cm + 80cm. 160cm bed could be separated to 2*80cm.

Each bedroom has two comfortable and quite new beds (spring mattresses) and two rooms have an extra bed each, probably more suitable for kids.

A small garden of 250 sqm with lots of sunshine and outdoor table, chairs and BBQ.

150m to the sea (no sea view).
Neighbours very close by.
No smoking indoors.
Public parking available.
Baby equipment available.

In high/ peak season there are lots of activities ongoing and it is quite a lively village but still very relaxed. The boating life in the harbor is a few minutes away as is the grocery store, small shops, the fisherman store, the kiosk, the ice cream bar, the five restaurant and the tennis and padel court.

Several beautiful bathing areas can be reached in 5-10 minutes.

There are several options for daily excursions along the coast.

A boat could possibly be available for rent as well.

In spring, autumn and winter, you can enjoy the tranquility of beautiful walks. There is a sauna at the sea to rent.

Veldig koselig og praktisk hus med gode senger og som ligger sentralt i Mollösund. Kort vei til fin badebrygge. Vi fikk hyggelig hjelp av utleier under hele oppholdet og han skaffet tom en ekstra sykkel:) Vi vil gjerne komme igjen.

Tack för omdömet. Angående att ni saknade i annonsbeskrivningen att sovrum 1 uppe inte har dörr mot trappan upp (vilket var anledning till att omdömet inte blev 5* på ”överensstämmer med verkligheten”), så har jag justerat texten i annons nu :).

We enjoyed staying in this cozy house very much and we really liked Mollösund. The description of the house was very accurate and our expectations were fully met and we didn´t miss anything. We met one of the neighbours who was very kind and gave us some useful information. What we liked most: - everything you need is nearby so a car isn't necessary (e.g. the kids could go to the supermarket to get fresh bread in the morning) - the beautiful nature - the bathing places were very nice - the athmosphere in Mollösund with its cafes and restaurants, tourists during the day, but in the evening there only were a few people around - probably because of beeing there quite late in summer. - the catches while fishing in the harbour: makrill and horn pike. - the evenings sitting on the skerry watching the sun go down - crab fishing ....and a lot more. We think about coming back again. ;-)

We had some wonderful peacefull days in Mollösund and surrounding There were lots of interesting things to do: hiking along the coastline, a boats tour around the island of Lyr, buying excellent seafood at Larssons Fisk close to the house and much more. We really enjoyed our stay in the cosy old house!
