Beutiful cottage, lake, boat, sauna, bathtube....

This is a very beautifully located, well equipped old bakers cottage, far above the ordinary, by beautiful lakes with sun all day long (facing west). The cottage tentant has, upon agreement, also access to a wood fired bath tub and an exclusive wood fired sauna, both located by the beach!
The old timbered house, previously a bakers cottage, shares the yard with the landlords house and a beautiful mill and a forge. On the old mill property there are in total a dozen buildings, which give the farm a character of genuine Dala-atmosphere in 19th century style.
This is a stay suitable for those really wanting peace and quiet, right in the midst of nature. Secluded location!

The fully equipped cottage has two rooms and a kitchen and is located 12 km north of Rättvik at Dalarna county.
The countryside kitchen is equipped with fridge and freezing compartment, stove/oven, microwave oven, coffee machine and necessary utensils and china, as well as mosquito window, radio, cleaing equipment and more.
In the bathroom you have a shower, wc, washbasin as well as washing machine and tumble dryer. Also drying cabinet.
The house is dominated by the lovely kitchen - with view of the water - and the fully functioning wood fired stove which also can be used by the tenants. Perhaps a wood fired pizza for dinner!
In the bedroom theres a tarr-bed which is a bunkbed, but also a cosy sofa bed for two, a big seating set and a stereo. On the upperfloor theres a bedroom for two and a simpler room for two more persons. The cottage can take four-six people easily, depending on how you prefer to use the area.
The house has broadband internet.
Heating by electricity and a air conditioner. All electricity is included in the rent.
A wood fired bath tub, and a wood fired sauna down by the lake can be used upon agreement with the landlord.
The tenant has a private patio with barbeque on the yard towards the lake, where theres another patio (a few meters from the beach) and a private beach with jetty.
100 meters away theres another sandy beach by the pretty pond by the mill with water lilies. You will also see a beautiful river, and a nice channel, streaming down the wonderful landscape.
The rent includes access to rowing boat and canoe, upon agreement with the landlord. Great pike and perch fishing in the lake (fishing license required). Great Rainbow trout fishing in a forest lake within walking distance (900 meter).
By the patios theres also access to barbeque and a wood basket, a fireplace which can be used whenever risk of fire is low. Guests has free access to wood.
The area is very scenic with lots of birds. Here almost 100 different bird species have been viewed. In the vicinity are several lakes and waters with great fishing, including grayling and game fish.
The area has several forest trails. (The Siljan trail passes by). Great berry and mushroom forests. Wintertime brings many options for cross country skiing and within a radius of 10 km you find plenty of prepared trails.
In the surroundings around Upper and Lower Gärdsjö are many cultural sightseeing options. Closest grocery store and petrol station is in Boda Kyrkby 7 km further north on road 301. We have 15 min car ride to Classic Car week, Music by Siljan, Dalhalla and bigger arrangements.
The landlord couple speaks both english and german.
The cottage is booked from Sunday-Sunday. Its available from 3 p.m. arrival day and is departure is 11 a.m. when the cottage also is cleaned.
In the cottage there is toilet paper, household paper, detergent, cleaning equipment and more.
Duvets, pillows and blankets available.
The guests bring their own bed linen and towels.

Directions:
From Rättvik: Take road 301 north towards Furudal and now activate the GPS! After 11 km theres a sign on your right hand side pointing towards a road to the left. The sign says ENSRO. Take left there and continue on the gravel road for about 2300 meters, keep to the left all the way and youre there!
