Year round cottage close to the lake.

The house is just 150 meters from the lake Emmern with a nice bathing place. In the surroundings there are big forests, several lakes and open fields. If you are in the right season you can also pick mushrooms, lingonberry and blueberries in the forests. There are many hiking trails as well as beautiful small roads for biking. If you wish you could borrow our private bikes as well as our outdoor table tennis.

You will have acess to a rowing boat and there are also possibilities to fish if you pay a fishing license. You can also rent a motor to the boat as well as canoes, and a wodden heated sauna at the lake close from us. In the summer season every fourtnight there is a pub just around the corner with live music. All at reasoneble prises

In the house there is one bedroom, one sleeping loft, sitting room, a kitchen and a bathroom with a shower.
The facilities are dishwasher, washing machine, micro, TV two heating stoves and wifi.

The nearest food store is 5 kilometres from where you stay in the small village Rimforsa. If you go north 40 kilometres you will come to the fairly big city Linköping.

Around an area of 25 kilometres from your stay you can find lots of different activities such as horse riding, long golf, wildlife safari and rock climbing in the largest primary rock cave in Sweden. If you come in winter time and the climate is ok, you could go skating, cross country skiing or down hill.

If you travel further about 60 kilometres south you will reach "Astrid Lindgrens värld" in Vimmerby which is a very popular spot for families with children and
if you travel north about 100 kilometres you will arrive to Kolmården Zoo which is the largest Zoo in Sweden.

In case you rent our place in the two weeks period in July and August it might be a possibility to rent another bigger house just beside the other. You can see it on the last picture in the galleri.

Directions:
Take road 34 towards Rimforsa in the county Östergötland. At the roundabout take direction east into the village up to a T-junction. In the junction, take left and drive about a km. Take to the left wheere there is a road with the sign "Opphem 2" on it. Drive about 2,5 kilometres til the road goes parallel to the lake. Drive about 200 m:s further and then there is a wooden sign with the name "Emmerdalen" on it. Take this small road up to the left and drive 50 meters and the take to the right. There you find the house on the left hand side. Welcome!
