Mountain cottage in scenic Näsfjället

Large cottage with sauna, in a quite small cottage area. Located on the edge of the mountains with a beautiful mile-long view of the national park at Fulufjället and the Norwegian mountains. Nice cross-country skiing and hiking trails directly from the cabin on Näsfjället. Close to Fulufjället National Park with cross-country skiing and hiking trails. Close to Stöten's ski resort in Sälen.

First floor four bedrooms (one with a double bed, three with bunk beds), toilet, kitchen, living room with dining area, sitting area, TV, fireplace. Lower level with shower room with sauna, toilet (new 2024), recreation room with TV. There are crib, high chair and stair gate.

Winter
Nice cross-country skiing from the cabin in untouched mountain nature with a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Cross-marked trail to Lilldalsstugan, rest cabin by the Kungsleden near a nice sun ravine, trail up to the top of Näsfjället and to the Näsfjället facility where there are groomed tracks 2.5 and 5 km. From Lilldalsstugan you can ski freely up onto Mellanfjället and get to the Norwegian border. For slalom and snowboarding, it is close to Stöten's large ski resort, 25 minutes, and to Hundfjället/Tandådalen's ski resorts, 35 minutes. To Trysil, Norway's largest ski resort, it takes 60 minutes, which is nice as a day trip.

Hiking
Just a few hundred meters from the cabin, there are nice hiking trails on Näsfjället and further in the surroundings, for example a marked trail to the top of Näsfjället and a marked trail 1 km to the Skarsåsfjällen nature reserve and a marked trail 2.5 km to the rest cabin, Lilldalsstugan, by Kungsleden. From Lilldalsstugan, you can hike freely on Mellanfjället to the Norwegian border or continue the trail that goes in two directions, including to Fulufjället National Park. You can also go by car to Fulufjället National Park, the southern part, about 10 km from the cabin, where there are nice hiking trails. In the northern part of Fulufjället National Park there is Sweden's highest waterfall Njupeskär, Naturum and fine hiking trails. Very nice berry fields in the surroundings, blueberries, lingonberries, cloudberries, wild raspberries.

Fishing
Fishing water is available in a wide variety, i.a in Västerdalälven approx. 11 km, Fuluälven and in many small ponds and small streams (fishing license). Slog booths and barbecue areas are available in several places. Canoe, rowing boat available for rent in the local area.

Swimming lake, restaurant, shop, golf etc.
It is about 11 km to a bathing place in a small forest lake. Here there are benches and tables, toilets, and fishing opportunities as well as a shed with a barbecue area. 11 km to Sörsjön, where there is a pleasant Restaurant Dalen and a country store. Horse riding, dog sledding, canoe rental 14 km, Sörsjön. 25 km to Stöten where there is a restaurant and bowling. To Sälen with many restaurants, shops, adventure pools, etc. it is 39-50 km depending on where in Sälen. Stöten golf is about 25 km, Sälen golf is about 40 km.

Directions:
Road 70 over Mora and Älvdalen. Further via Hållbovallen, Nornäs and Sörsjön to Näsfjället's cabin area called Lekåsen. The house is located at the top of the area, the second/last road on the right. Toltavägen 3.
Alternatively route 66 over Malung and Sälen or route E6 and 25 through Norway.
