The island of Stegesund is classed as a national cultural-historical and environmental interest because of all the Jugend houses from the turn of the century.
On the car-free island there is a paved gravel road around the island, which is perfect for the jogging or why not a match on the wooden tennis court.
The ‘Capital of Stockholm’s Archipelago,’ Vaxholm, is the perfect place to get the full archipelago experience conveniently close to Stockholm.
The harbor is the heart of Vaxholm, shopping on the main street and activity in cafes and restaurants around the harbor basin, where pleasure boats, Waxholmsbolagets ships, and ferries to Rindö across the strait squeezed.
Take a walk into the idyllic small town, stroll through the North Port area with the oldest buildings, or walk down Hamngatan where all the shops are located by looking at the square where the Town Hall is. You can also take a boat to the Citadel and the Vaxholm Fortress Museum. Nature lovers can find new trails on `Bogesunds landet´ and pleasant scenery.
The house is about 110 sqm and has two levels. The downstairs entrance is equipped with wardrobes with space for outwear. On the same floor, there is a bathroom with a shower, towel dryer and a fantastic sauna with room for 6- 8 people.
The living room on the first floor lower has windows looking out on the glittering sea and a door directly onto the terrace. The living room is also decorated with a sofa bed, armchairs, stools and tables, with the TV located on one wall.
Adjacent to the living room is a well-equipped kitchen with underfloor heating.

The upstairs consists of a living room, 2 bedrooms, and a large bathroom with underfloor heating as well. The upstairs living room consists of a sofa and a bed, and both the bedrooms are furnished with double beds (180cm) which can easily be separated into two single beds.
All the rooms are also equipped with radiators for cool summer nights.
The terrace measures up to 20 sqm, and it is provided with lounge furniture such as a large table for 8 people and matching seatings.
There is a charcoal bbq grill that can be used, especially for the newly caught fish.
Staying here you will be able to enjoy the early morning sun to the beautiful evening sunlight, whilst watching archipelago boats passing by.
Below the house, there is a child-friendly lawn where you can perform various activities eg. badminton.
Departure cleaning can be arranged for a fee.

Transportation to the island can be done by using the Vaxholmsbolaget ferry boats which has the islands two jetties Stegesund or Vikingsborg as boarding points. It’s only about 15 minutes boat ride from Vaxholm to the island. Alternatively, you can also book a watertaxi from Vaxholm to the house's own private dock.
Jetty is located 70m from the house.
Fishing can be done from the dock or by boat.

Jog around the island is about 4km.
Vaxholm ferries are available from Vaxholm to Stegesund or Vikingsborg or Stockholm.
