Welcome to a charming 19th-century house with a lush, overgrown garden offering privacy from the outside world. Here, you'll find two wood stoves, two tiled fireplaces, creaky wooden floors, birdsong, and fantastic neighbors. Additionally, the house is just 200 meters from a cozy public swimming spot and boat dock.

You'll be warmly welcomed and receive plenty of tips for excursions in the area, where nature and cultural experiences take center stage.

On the ground floor of the house, you'll find a well-equipped kitchen with both a wood stove and an electric stove with an oven, a fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. There's also a dining room, a living room with a sofa bed (140 cm wide), a TV, a tiled fireplace, an entrance hall, and a small toilet. The upper floor features one bedroom with a double bed, another bedroom with a single bed, and a luxurious bathroom with a toilet and shower. At the back of the house, there's a lovely patio with outdoor furniture, a grill, and an outdoor shower.

The property also includes a spacious glamping tent equipped with a large double bed, electricity, lights, a camping toilet, and a private terrace.

When renting the house, you also get access to our boat with a 10-horsepower motor, making it easy to explore the lake system of 16 interconnected lakes. You can even navigate through locks to visit Bjurbäcken’s locks and enjoy a waffle or two. For fishing enthusiasts, the lake is rich with zander, though fishing equipment is not provided. A sauna raft is located about 20 minutes away by boat and can be easily booked online. (Two adult life jackets and one child life jacket are included.)

The area around Lungsund is stunningly beautiful, offering wonderful hiking trails along the Järnsjöleden path with forests, marshes, and lakes. There are also great opportunities for running and cycling. About one kilometer from the house along the Järnsjöleden, there’s a grill area by a lake, perfect for fishing or a late summer evening swim.

Kristinehamn and Filipstad are just a 20-minute drive away, while Bjurbäcken’s locks with its café and lock system are only 10 minutes away. Karlstad is about a 45-minute drive.

Price per week to 11000 SEK

For rent from Saturday to Saturday.
Check-in at 4:00 pm - Check-out at 11:00 am
Water, heating, electricity, and garbage collection, wifi are included.
Bed linen is included.
Towels are included.
No pets allowed due to allergy concerns.
Smoking is prohibited indoors.
The tenant is responsible for performing the final cleaning after the stay. Final cleaning means that the garbage is taken out, the fridge/freezer is emptied, and the floors are roughly cleaned.

Das Haus von Mike und Marlene hat den Charme eines alten Bauernhauses, dass mit viel Geschmack und Liebe renoviert wurde. Viele Details sind immer wieder ein Blickfang und machen das Haus zu einer erlesenen Unterkunft. Mike und Marlene haben uns persönlich begrüßt und uns alles gezeigt. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Der große Garten bietet mehrere Sitzmöglichkeiten für Sonne und Schatten. Wir konnten jeden Tag von den leckeren Himbeeren naschen. In wenigen Minuten erreicht man den See mit einer Badestelle. Am See haben wir oft die Dämmerung genossen. Der Järnsjöleden führt fast direkt am Haus vorbei. Er ist ein sehr schöner Wanderweg durch die Landschaft von Bergslagen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und danken Mike und Marlene dafür, dass wir unseren Urlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus verbringen durften. Tack så mycket!! Christina & Michael

Familj med två barn 10 och 12 år som spenderade en vecka i en värmländsk idyll. Nära till skog, båt o vatten. Stugan hade det vi behövde. Ett plus för en serviceminded värd som hjälpte oss med handling första dagen. När vi behövde omväxling åkte vi till Gustavsvik i Örebro (äventyrsbad) och annan dag i Karlstad. Dryga timmen åt vardera håll.

Boat rental – A boat is included in the rent. It is a 4.2 meter plastic boat with a 10 horsepower motor.
Fishing – Stor-Lungen är en populär sjö bland sportfiskare. Gös, abborre och gädda.
Football ground – There is a small gravel pitch at Lungsund's campsite that is rarely used. The goals are old and lack nets, but for eager children, anything is possible.
Golf – Lundsbergs Golf Club, 9-hole course. Distance: 4 km.
Hiking trails – The beautiful Järnsjö trail passes 150 meters from the house.
Outdoor swimming facilities (beach) – 200 meters to public beach (child-friendly)
Tennis – There is a tennis court in Lundsberg, about 5 km from Lungsund. Talk to us and we'll make sure you get access and can play.
