Live in the small village Karsamåla, outside Långasjö in the forests of Småland. Here you have proximity to nature, swimming and fishing etc.
Once inside the croft, you will find a small "croft kitchen" with the old kitchen stove preserved as well as 2 hotplates, small oven, refrigerator and dining area. In the great room, the old wooden floor has been developed and you can feel the history of the croft cracking in the floor. Here is a place to hang out, play games and cuddle. The two bedrooms are newly renovated in the spring of 2020. Bedroom 1 has a double bed. Bedroom 2 consists of two single beds.
Possibility of extra bed, and travel cot for infants.
Toilet with bath / shower & toilet.
Outdoors there is a nice gazebo with barbecue facilities, here you can enjoy the quiet nature. Sometimes there are grazing cows in the pastures around. Hearing the chirping of birds and feeling the tranquility of nature is extremely peaceful.
In Långasjö you can find a cozy small country store to buy your food in, this is 3 km away. If you want to buy locally grown vegetables, tomatoes, etc., there is Långasjö Greenhouse, which we highly recommend. If you want to shop in a larger grocery store, it is in Emmaboda, 1.2 km away. In Emmaboda there are also a number of other shops as well as an entertainment house and a bathhouse. In the entertainment house you can go karting, bowling, play paintball and rent canoes.
If you want to fish or swim, there are plenty of cozy lakes nearby.
In Vissefjärda about 10km away there is a nice and popular golf course and a cozy cafe that makes its own chocolate pralines. In Fiddekulla, a village just outside Vissefjärda, Fiddekulla has a garden, one of the few flower farmers who grow for Nelson Garden. Here you have the opportunity to buy flowers and plants.
The famous glass kingdom with, among other things, Kosta Boda and various outlets is a must visit, where there is also a moose park.
We are happy to help and advise on various farm shops / flea markets and other destinations that can brighten up your stay in the Småland forests.
If you want to visit cities, there are Kalmar, Karlskrona and Växjö, all 60 km away. Kalmar and Karlskrona are two very beautiful summer towns located on the coast. Once in Kalmar, you are a stone's throw from Öland. This is a very beautiful summer island where, among other things, the Swedish royal family celebrates their summer.
In Karlskrona you can, among other things, visit the Marine Museum. In Växjö there are lots of shopping opportunities or why not have a coffee at an outdoor restaurant?
A warm welcome to Karsmåla!
