Cozy accommodation in Dalhem - Gotland

Rent our 45 sqm apartment housed in the charming old barn on the farm located in Dalhem, in the middle of Gotland. It is also possible to rent our guest house "Hönshuset" with 2 beds (sofa bed) as an addition if you are a slightly larger group, it's located close to the barn "Ladan". In the "Hönshuset" there is also a wood-fired sauna and close to the river where you can take a dip.

The apartment consists of a large living room with sofa group, dining area with kitchen table and chairs, simpler kitchen with sink, hob and oven, microwave and fridge/freezer and bathroom with toilet and sink. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water is directly adjacent to the accommodation just outside the back door.

There are four beds plus the possibility of setting up an extra bed: two spring beds 90 cm wide, as well as a large sofa bed that easily folds up into a double bed. In the "Hönshuset" there are 2 beds in a sofa bed that folds up into a double bed.

TV and wifi are available.

There are also four bikes to borrow.

For those who have an electric car, there is a charging station at the museum railway, about 5 minutes' walk away.

The barn is at the far end of a large plot of land with substantial grass areas for football, squash, croquet or other activities. A trampoline is also available. There is also a dining area and grill for good dinners outside.
Through a thicket at the far end of the plot flows a stream that you can swim in, or just sit next to and philosophize.

Surroundings:
It takes 20 minutes by car to go to Visby and it is 800 meters to the bus stop for bus connections to Visby.

It takes 10 minutes by car to go into Roma, where there are two grocery stores, a pharmacy, a gas station, a restaurant, the Press Agency, etc.

A pilgrim trail runs along the railway track and there are good opportunities to find nice walking paths. A few kilometers away is the village of Dalhem with, among other things, a popular railway cafe and a very interesting church with interesting wall paintings. Less than a kilometer away is also Hotell Dalhem, with both a restaurant and stables.

For those who like to swim in the sea, the advantage of living in the middle of the island is that it is close to everything and you can choose which side of the island you want to swim on, depending on the wind direction.

The whole of Gotland is full of attractions and with Dalhem as a starting point you have perfect opportunities to explore the island in all directions. This is regardless of whether you want to ride horses, pet lambs, visit churches, wander around Visby or experience the city's nightlife, see jousting, find small cozy cafes, visit the Lummelunda cave or the Ingemar Bergman museum, lie on the beach, find your own bathing spots, watch raukar or just hang out on the property and relax.
