House by the lake

Welcome to our cottage in Sandviksudden in Dalsland - where you look out over Laxsjön from the veranda!

Dals Långed lies along the Dalsland canal, which runs between the lakes Råvarpen in the south and Laxsjön in the north.

The cottage was built in 2017 with an ecological focus. The house is powered largely by solar energy. The cottage has two bedrooms with quality beds and a bathroom with shower and washing machine. A combined living room with kitchen. The terrace has a partial roof and outdoor furniture and a barbecue is available on site from May to mid-October. The kitchen has a Tassimo coffee machine, so you have to think about bringing or buying your own capsules. The area is home to both summer guests and some year-round residents. Parking space next to the house.

If you want to take a dip in Laxsjön, the stairs down to the lake are just a few minutes from the cottage. Municipal swimming beach (Kampudden) is only 5 minutes away by car.

Dalsland has more than 1100 watercourses, so if you are interested in fishing with a rod, you have come to the right place. If you want to pick berries and mushrooms, the area is rich in this. Close to activity center with moose park and deer. If you are lucky, you can see these animals in their true nature. Dalsland is known for its beautiful paddle water and hiking in the forests. You can rent a canoe in several different places.

Drisin can be run in Åmål and Bengtsfors and for you golfers there is a golf course in Mellerud and Åmål. For those of you who think it's nice to ride a motorcycle, you can visit Ed's Motorcycle and Motor Museum in Ed. If you want to visit a nature reserve, visit Yttre Bodane Nature Reserve. The reserve is located about 2.5 km south of Åmål and is signposted from the E45.

In summer, you can walk a short distance from our house down to the lock at Långbron and eat good ice cream at the ice cream kiosk. At Långbron you can also hop on/off the rail bus and the passenger boats on the Dalslands canal.


WINTER
You can visit Åmåls Ski Center. The complex has 4 slopes + 1 snow park, cafeteria. You can rent skis at the center.


OTHER INFORMATION

NOTE! during the winter, only the roads in the area are shoveled. It is not shoveled in front of the house and the main entrance. Feel free to bring a small shovel - :)

When booking you will receive directions to the house.

You will receive the code for the code lock where the key is after payment to the cottage association.

Heating and internet are included in the price.

TV with channels via satellite dish - (unfortunately cannot guarantee that TV works with foreign channels as customers sometimes press too much on all the buttons on the display.)

There is a chromecast installed on the TV - which "name" you connect to is on the TV and in the folder in the house. Please read the instructions for how the TV works in our binder in the house.

You clean yourself on departure. Cleaning equipment is available in the cottage. (The cabin will not be inspected on the day of departure).

Bring your own bedding set and towels.

It is not possible to charge an electric car at the house.
