ABOUT THE AREA – Welcome to this gem located in the heart of Österlen! This architect-designed and fresh house (built in 2019) is located on a quiet dead-end-road next to a nature reserve and a pretty little forest. The gardens are so large and well-grown that you have the feeling that you live in the middle of the countryside, even if there are good neighbours, they are at a reasonable distance. Within walking distance, you will find the swimming-friendly Lake Gyllebosjön (Österlen´s largest lake) with a private little sandy beach and bathing piers. During summer there is a small ice cream kiosk and there are also good fishing opportunities and a rowing boat to rent, all year round. Down by the lake is also the grand castle Gyllebo Slott whose park is open to the public at certain hours on Sundays. In the immediate area there is also a playground, football pitch, boules court and even a cinema. Sjöstigen, which goes all the way around the lake and in the forest area nearby, invites hiking or jogging possibilities in a beautiful setting. Others may choose to cycle on the many cycle-friendly roads to discover. If you´re lucky, you can see "King of the forest" (moose) that sometimes appear in the area. The paddocks that surround the area are home to both horses, cows and sheep, which adds to the area's charm. If you are walking down to the lake, you can choose to walk along the castle road, or you may be given access to our "secret shortcut". The latter option is usually popular with our guests!

ABOUT ÖSTERLEN - Österlen with its "open landscapes" (yes, it was here that the famous Swedish singer Ulf Lundell wrote the famous song of the same name (Öppna Landskap) and since then, ha has not left this part of Sweden) delivers in many ways with different kinds of excursion destinations, restaurants & cafes, farm shops, galleries, golf, castles, flea markets, beaches etc. Along the coast there are several lovely beaches such as Knäbäckshusens strand just 15 minutes away (voted as Sweden's most beautiful beach), Rörum strand, Mälarhusen, Haväng, Vitemölla strand, Sandhammaren, well, the list is long. Around there are also many small picturesque villages such as Rörum, where "Mandelmanns" (known from TV 4) lives, but otherwise the nearest larger cities are Simrishamn and Kivik (a visit to the ancient Kiviks cider factory is a must). If you want a bit more of a "big city feel" you head to nearby Ystad where all the Wallander films were filmed. And if you want to experience the real pulse of the big city, you´ll take the train, which goes not far from the house and heads to Copenhagen for the day. There is so much more to discover in Österlen, for young and old alike, and of course we share all these gems with you via our cottage folder, and via text when you arrive at the cottage. INFORMATION REGARDING THIS DWELLING:

4 bedrooms and a total of 8 berths, distributed as below:

Bedroom 1: two single beds
Bedroom 2: two single beds
Bedroom 3: two single beds (can be brought together to make a double bed if desired)
Bedroom 4: a double bed
There is also a cot/travel cot
All beds are 90cm. wide and the double bed is 90cm. x 2.
It is possible to have more than 8 sleeping guests (but email/text the landlord for permission) – in that case bring your own mattress etc.
Spacious living room and kitchen in an open plan (ceiling height about 4,2 mts) and stylishly furnished.

Bathroom: spacious with shower, WC and sauna (the sauna site built by Tylö).
Toilet: separate with WC.
Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Entrance to the house with a spacious hallway.

AMENITIES: smart-TV (Apple-TV), Internet – Wi-Fi, electric cooker (induction) & oven, dishwasher, microwave oven, cooker hood, fridge & freezer, coffee percolator, electric kettle, toaster, electric whisk, hand blender, champagne cooler, wine and whisky glass, as well as crockery, pots etc. to be able to cook, grill (charcoal grill), washing machine, tumble dryer, vacuum cleaner, roller blinds (darkening), wardrobes, cot (travel cot), high chair, duvets and pillows, as well as some cooler spare blankets. Underfloor heating is available throughout the house.

OUTDOOR: natural plot/garden with lawn of about 1,300m², patio/wooden deck circa 80m² part of which is under a canopy, spa bath partly under canopy (Swedish made Viskan spa-bath), terrace with garden furniture for 8 persons, grill (charcoal grill), deck-swing and slide, during summer there are outdoor games (e.g. boccia, croquet etc.) and sun loungers, two parking spaces on the plot.

OTHER INFO: The basic price includes Wi-Fi. Sauna is always included. We are flexible with checking in and out to the extent possible. A maximum of 8 persons in the house, but it is possible to have an additional guest (if so, please text/email the landlord). Small dogs are welcome, but larger dogs we'd like to avoid (please text/email the landlord if you want to bring your dog). The utility room is locked during low and mid-season (since it is used as storage), but if you are renting for a week or more during this period, please text/email the landlord if you need to do laundry (for a minor fee). In the house there is a range of board games including a couronne-game and some toys for both boys and girls. Also, a smaller ping-pong table with associated racks/balls is available. Smoking may only take place outside. Well behaved guests only – no youth groups or loud events.
