We would like to welcome you to a little peace of paradise in the north of Småland, in Sweden.
Mabo cottage with its own jetty is located by our lake. Great opportunities to fish from the boat and jetty are included. We also have life jackets in several sizes for you to borrow.
The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a dining area.
On the ground floor you will find a hall, the kitchen, a living room with a sofa area, fire place and a dining area, also a bathroom with a shower and a biological toilet.
Upstairs there is a landing and two bedrooms, the master bedoom with two beds and the second bedroom with three beds.
Air conditioning is available.
The large garden provides plenty of space for games and play and possibilities to gather round the barbecue.
Only approx 250 m from the cottage there is a child-friendly swimming area and play area with swings.
The woodland area around the cottage is full of deer and other swedish wildlife. If you are really lucky, you might see a moose or even catch a glimpse of a lynx. We have four bicycles for you to borrow and enjoy Sweden´s fantastic natur by bike. Two adult bikes and two children´s bikes.
There is also the opportunity to buy a fishing license to fish in two other lakes, if you are interested in fishing in new waters.
There is currently no wifi in the cottage.

Åtvidaberg, 30 min by car, has a golf course.

Västervik, 45 min by car. Many say it is the finest archipelago on the east coast and has been elected summer city of the year, several years.

Linköping,1h by car, has many restuarants and shopping areas and a spectacular air force museum also an old city, Gamla Linköping, with cobblestreets and quaint shops.

Kolmården Zoo, 1h 50 min by car.

The lovely island, Valö, (Björkfors) 20 min by car, has a swimming area and a cafe that sell e g delicious prawn sandwiches.

The closest shop, COOP, is in Överum, 15 min by car. They also have a pizzeria.

In Gamleby center , 20 min by car, there is a well-stocked Ica food store, restaurants and a pharmacy etc.
