Summer cottage VAXHOLM RINDÖ

Summer cottage with a small guest cottage on a large garden and only a few minutes' walk to a bathing cliff with jetty (evening sun). You can get to Rindö easily by car (car ferry from Vaxholm or Värmdö) or municipally by bus or ferry service from Stockholm.

There is a main house of about 70 square meters with a hall, a bedroom, a bathroom with a shower cabin and toilet (Cinderella toilet), a kitchen with a dining table for 4 people, a living room with a sofa bed and a wood-burning stove, and from the living room there is an exit to a glass-enclosed veranda with a dining area for about 10 people (basket chairs).

Number of beds:
Bedroom with a single bed (90) and a family bunk bed 90/120 cm, i.e. 3-4 beds.
In the living room there is a new nice sofa bed (160 cm), i.e. 2 sleeping places.
In the guest cabin there are 2 single beds (90 cm) that can be put together to make a double bed and a small bunk bed (suitable for children), i.e. 4 additional beds (of which for 2 children).

Between the main house and the guest cottage there is a paved patio with evening sun, parasol and charcoal grill. Table and chairs/sofa for approx. 6-7 people.
Breakfast is best taken in the morning sun in airdeck chairs or on the bench outside the entrance.

The kitchen has a stove, oven, fridge, freezer and kettle. The house has municipal water and AC.
There is no dishwasher, no microwave, no washing machine. No TV and wifi. We have chosen to keep it simple in the countryside with a focus on outdoor life, bathing, socializing and playing board games with the children.

The plot is to some extent hilly and the house is located relatively high without visibility. There is parking for 2-3 cars, partly in front of the garage (locked) and partly behind the main house. From the plot, a dirt road leads down to the swimming area (cliff and bathing jetty). The swimming area is shared with other neighbors in the area.

You can easily get to Rindö by car (car ferry from Vaxholm or Värmdö) or take a bus or take the Vaxholm ferry from Strömkajen in Stockholm. Rindö has a well-stocked grocery store, a famous cheese shop and several good restaurants. It is also very close to the cozy summer town of Vaxholm with a large selection of shops, restaurants, cafes, sports/culture and many nice excursion destinations in Vaxholm and in the archipelago.

There are several bathing spots on Rindö, both a child-friendly sandy beach and bathing cliffs. There are many pleasant walking and running routes on the island.
