Welcome to Kurön – Your Own Private Island in the Heart of Sörmland

Experience a magical place where the stress of everyday life fades away, and tranquility takes over. Kurön is a unique and private island, perfect for an unforgettable family holiday or a wonderful getaway with friends. Here, you will find a scenic summer paradise with breathtaking lake views, total seclusion, and a peaceful environment – with no neighbors in sight!

Kurön is located in Lake Valdemaren, between Stenhammar Castle and Harpsund, just 15 km east of Katrineholm. On the island, you will find a charming red cottage of 55 sqm, complemented by a separate sleeping suite of 30 sqm and an additional building with a modern composting toilet and an outdoor shower. In total, there are 6 standard beds – 4 in the sleeping suite and 2 in the red cottage – with the option to add 2 extra beds if needed.

The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave, and the dining area accommodates 6–8 people. From the spacious terrace, you can enjoy a stunning lake view, a cozy lounge area, sun loungers, and an additional dining space for outdoor meals. For summer barbecue evenings, there is an outdoor kitchen with a large Weber gas grill.

Lake Activities and Leisure:
Down by the bay, on a floating dock, you will find a wood-fired sauna with panoramic views of the lake. The child-friendly swimming area is close to the house and features a dock designed for small children. For those who want to explore the water, there is a SUP (stand-up paddleboard), fishing rods, and nets available. You also have the opportunity to catch some of Sörmland’s finest crayfish! The surrounding Valdemaren area offers charming farm shops, local markets, and a wide range of cultural attractions, sights, and entertainment.

How to Get Here:
Drive to Sköldinge and then turn off towards Hvalsta 1. Kurön is accessible via a mainland jetty near the family’s farm. From there, you take a rowing boat for a short and scenic 3-minute ride across to Kurön.

Final cleaning is included in the price.
Bed linens and towels can be rented for an additional cost.
