Try living on a farm in the scenic village of Skirs. A rural idyll with horses and cows in the pastures and walking distance to a bathing spot.
Even if you feel completely out in the countryside, it is only 5 km from the center of Växjö,
where there is a large selection of restaurants and shopping.

Växjö is centrally located in Småland and is suitable in summer as a starting point for day trips to the kingdom of glass,
Astrid Lindgren's world in Vimmerby, various moose safari parks, national parks and nature reserves, the wild west park "High Chaparral",
Kalmar - Öland and also Blekinge, Skåne and the West Coast.

In the house there are 5 separate bedrooms with room for a total of 8 people, there are two bedrooms with a single bed and three bedrooms with two single beds / double bed, fully equipped kitchen, wc, bathroom with shower, open living areas on both the first and second floor, terrace under roof, and patio on grassy areas outside the house.
Laundry room with washing machine and dryer is in the basement, there is also an extra shower.

ATTENTION! We include bed linen and towels in the price. A light cleaning on the day of departure is also included in the price.

The whole house has been rented out long-term until this summer and now we are getting it ready for new summer guests,
in the same way as we did during the summer of 2023.

A large, beautifully furnished house with enough rooms for families. Lots of space to play and relax, different seating areas inside and outside. The kitchen is modern, and there is a comfortable dining area in the living room. Helena and Jonas are the best hosts you can imagine. Super friendly and always helpful. They have also put together lots of good tips for tours in the surrounding area. There is a nice little lake (aprox 5minutes walking distance) nearby. To get to the jetty (which is a publix beach, you can take the rowing boat of Jonas and Helena. Växjö offers lots of opportunities for shopping and strolling, there are cafes and restaurants. We really enjoyed our time here. We would definitely come back.

We stayed one week at Skirsnäs and we experienced a beautiful house, in a nice and big garden, with the farm aside. Our kids loved to feed the horses. The small road has almost no traffic. There is a lake nearby and pretty trails. The house is very cosy but nevertheless perfectly equipped, we didn't really miss anything. The little village is a five minutes walk away, a little Bullerbyn-feeling. It is only a seven minutes ride to Växjö with all its facilities. The house has a spacious terrace with a BBQ, a modern kitchen with really everything, a living room and the dining room with tasteful furniture and the fireplace. In the upper floor you'll find two nice bedrooms and the renovated bathroom, big enough. Besides all the positive facts we have to praise Jonas and Helena who gave us such a warm welcome as we've been guests for years. And maybe they will suprise you at the end of your stay - but we don't reveal anything. Thank you - from Christiane and Nils from Munich, Germany, 08/23.

Ein tolles, großes, schön eingerichtetes Haus für Familien oder kleine Gruppen. Viel Platz drumherum zum Spielen und Ausruhen, unterschiedliche Sitzplätze draußen und drinnen. Die moderne Küche mit dem gemütlichen Essplatz perfekt ausgestattet. Ein Luxus: Bettwäsche, Handtücher, Geschirrtücher etc. sind vorhanden! Helena und Jonas sind die besten Gastgeber, die man sich vorstellen kann: Immer ansprechbar, immer hilfsbereit, und mit vielen guten Tipps für Touren durch die nähere Umgebung. Ganz in der Nähe liegt ein hübscher kleiner See, in dem man wunderbar schwimmen kann. Drumherum gibt es weitere Seen und romantische Blaubeerwälder mit netten Spazier- und Fahrradwegen. Växjö bietet viele Gelegenheiten zum Einkaufen und Bummeln, es gibt Cafés, Restaurants, Konzerte und Museen. Aber auch wer einfach nur an einem schönen Ort auf dem Land sein möchte, in der Nähe von Pferden und Kühen, wird sich hier total wohlfühlen. Kurz: Ein toller Ort zum Urlaubmachen!

Wir können das Haus zu 100 % weiterempfehlen.Es war alles so, wie es auch beschrieben wurde . Das Haus war sehr sauber. Die Vermieter Helena und Jonas waren sehr nett, wir wurden herzlich Empfangen und wenn es Fragen gab, konnte man sie immer erreichen. Auch die Auskünfte über die Angelseen und Wanderwege waren sehr hilfreich. Danke für den schönen Urlaub.🙂
