There is a lot to discover on Skaftö and the surrounding area. Cycling and hiking trails through pine forests, over rocks or a simple walk through the picturesque fishing villages. There is a large golf area for everyone on the island. For water sports interests , SUP and kayak tours are already possible in spring. In the summer months you can enjoy fresh fish with live music in the evenings in Pelles Rökeri.
In the off-season things are more leisurely on the island. Time for a good book, fresh waffles and steaming cocoa in front of the crackling fireplace.
With a bit of luck, you can find chanterelles and porcini mushrooms on hikes in all weathers; big seashells wash up on the beach, salt and seaweed in the air and beautiful sunsets in every season. The houses, streets and harbors are decorated with lights and also invite you to take calming evening walks.
The Havets Hus (Aquarium) in Lysekil, Gamle Stan and Norra Hamn can be reached in 30 minutes by passenger ferry.
To the south, you can take a round trip by car through the island world. On Flatön, tradesman Flink invites you to browse in his antiques and curiosities shop, after that may have camel riding with Helena & Göran, a swimming break in Mollösund or the sculpture park on Tjörn, and on the way back an ice cream at Göksäter.
In Uddevalla you can reach the oldest bathhouse in the region via a pretty panoramic path along the rocks.
The large shopping center in Herrestads Torp is also worth a visit.
