There is a child-friendly sandy beach, next to the harbor and boat jetties, and there is also a small bay, Djupviken, in the middle of the forest clearing available for a quick swim. Ica Near Stigtomta is a couple of minutes' drive or about 10 minutes by bike where you can find most of what you are looking for.

In 18 minutes by car, you are quickly in the city of Nyköping with everything a port city can offer. In about 25 minutes you are at the sea and the beach or on the lovely Sörmlandsleden. There are also lovely lakes in and around Stigtomta. Shop locally grown or at flea markets. Or why not paddle a canoe for a day or go pick-your-own, for example for strawberries? Kolmården is only half an hour's drive away.
