Cottage in Gullringen near Vimmerby, Småland

Welcome to our little cottage, decorated in pink and white! The cottage was enlarged in 2022 with a new part and is now in total 25 sqm and can accommodate 1–2 persons. It has a room with two beds (2 x 80 cm, no young children please) a kitchen, and a bathroom.

It's situated in our garden, ca 20 meters behind our house, and behind the cottage is the woods. Woods extending for miles and miles!

Gullringen is a small community of ca. 500 inhabitants. Within walking distance from the cottage, you'll find a convenience store, a café, a restaurant (open only occasionally), a swimming bath (closed in July), an outdoor bathing place, tennis courts, and a golf course.

It's situated 20 km north of Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren's hometown. In the Vimmerby region you'll find the park Astrid Lindgren's World and lots of places from Astrid Lindgren's books, as well as Näs, the house where she was born and lived a s child, and also nature reserves, lakes, and forests.

Between Gullringen and Vimmerby there are 6–8 bus connections per day Monday to Friday, but please note that there are no buses at all in the weekends and on public holidays. From the cottage, it's only a few minutes' walk to the bus stop.
In the other direction, to the north, there is no public transport.
