Rent our lovely summer cottage!

The cottage is situated on a high ground in a quiet summer house community on Instön, a beautiful, lush island accessible via a bridge from the mainland. The property is located in the midst of nature, with the sea visible in two directions. Large, connected terraces surround the house, and there is parking for 2-3 cars.

A short walk (approx. 500 m) takes you to the sea, offering salty swims from a jetty with a diving board or from smooth rocks sheltered from the west wind. For small children, there is a very small sandy beach with shallow water to splash in.

The cottage has three bedrooms (4 beds), as well as a living room (with TV) and an open-plan kitchen. A 15 sqm sunroom with openable glass panels is connected to the kitchen. The toilet (with water closet and small sink) is accessed from outside via a separate door, as are the shower and washing machine. There is also an additional hygiene space inside the cottage with a sink, mirrors, and wall cabinets. In an associated annex ("Friggebod"), there are 2 additional beds available. Pets are welcome. There is no fiber connection, but mobile coverage is usually fine. WiFi connection via prepaid card can be arranged (300 SEK for 100 gigabytes, speed normally about 20 Mbps).

Marstrand Island, a sailing paradise with beautiful turn-of-the-century villas, cobblestone streets, and an impressive fortress on top, is within easy driving or cycling distance (bike path) 4 km from the cottage. The Marstrand ferry takes you the last bit to the car-free island. There, you will find lovely swimming spots from rocks and sandy beaches, a newly renovated playground, beautiful easy hiking trails, art galleries, clothing stores, bakeries, cafes, ice cream stands, fish and seafood vendors, and many restaurants.

With Västtrafik's boats, you can easily reach the authentic fishing communities on Dyrön and Åstol just south of Tjörn. Both have lively, cozy guest harbors, wonderful restaurants with outdoor seating, and grocery stores. For those who enjoy hiking, there is a fantastic trail around the entire Dyrön, as well as several trails on Koön, which is connected to Instön by a bridge. Kungälv, with its long and exciting history and Bohus Fortress, about 30 minutes away, is also an interesting destination. Sea kayak rentals are available on Koön and in Sundhammar's calm waters a bit further south. Two scenic nearby golf courses (15 minutes by car) are available for golf enthusiasts. In the vicinity, there are also Icelandic horses and guided riding tours. In about an hour, you can reach Gothenburg, Uddevalla, and many attractions on Orust and Tjörn.
