Embraced by meadows, pastures, and forests in beautiful Västergötland, you can relax and enjoy the tranquility of a rural idyll without any neighbors disturbing you. In this newly renovated two-story cottage, we have preserved the soul of the house while carefully upgrading it with modern comforts. Tongue-and-groove paneling, linseed oil paint, and period details are found throughout. The mullioned windows, a bright dining room in the porch, where pink Mårbacka geraniums fill the window sills, create a perfect place for socializing and enjoying delicious meals made from locally produced ingredients. Two bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with a sleeping alcove, and two sleeping alcoves with curtains in the upper hall. The beds are new and comfortable, with pillows, duvets, fresh sheets, and high-quality towels included. The pool is heated, and the saltwater system ensures the water stays clean and clear. If you prefer to swim in the lake, several lovely swimming spots are within cycling distance. Four bicycles are included in the price. The bright Swedish summer nights can sometimes be too light for some; there are blackout blinds in all the bedrooms. The house has Wi-Fi that works outdoors as well. The living room has a smart TV. If you need to retreat and work, there's a small desk in one of the bedrooms. The larger bathroom on the upper floor has, in addition to a shower and toilet, a towel warmer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The materials are exclusive, such as marble countertops and Victorian-style tiled floors. In the meadows around the property, the host family's sheep graze to keep the landscape open. The nearest neighbor (the host family's farm) is 300 meters up the gravel road. There is a tennis court (plexipave), and one hour of playtime per day is included at no extra cost in the rental price. There are plenty of excursion options – locally, several farm shops offer everything from vegetables, meat, flowers, home décor, and wonderfully delicious chocolate. See . Within a 30-minute drive, you'll find two golf courses and the small towns of Ulricehamn, Herrljunga, and Falköping, each offering something special. For example, Herrljunga Cider has its farm shop, and in Falköping, there's a lovely cheese and delicatessen shop. In the small town of Limmared, flea market enthusiasts will be in their element. July-August: 2100 euro/ week (300 euro/day). During July-August, we only rent out by the week. September: 1836 euro/ week (263 euro/ day). Minimum rental period is 3 days.

A cleaning fee of 275 euro applies per rental period, regardless of the rental duration, and cannot be negotiated. Bed linen and towels are included and the beds will be made before your arrival.

Free use of the heated pool (3.5x7 meters, 1.5 meters deep) is included. 4 bicycles and helmets are included. The host's residence is located 300 meters up the road, where there is a tennis court (flexipave) available for the guest to use for 1 hour per day, included in the rental. The time is agreed upon with the host.

Changeover day is Saturday for weekly rentals, flexible during the low season.

Outdoor furniture – There is a dining area for 7 people outdoors, sun loungers for 7 people around the pool, and a rattan armchair under the apple tree.

Separate bedrooms – Two bedrooms with double beds (one on the ground floor with a view of the countryside and one on the upper floor with a view of the pool and courtyard), an additional bedroom with a sleeping alcove on the upper floor, and two sleeping alcoves with curtains in the upper hallway. The beds are new and comfortable, pillows, duvets, fresh linens, and towels of good quality are included, as well as cleaning.
TV – In the living room, there are two large sofas and a 48-inch smart TV where you can log in to your own Netflix subscription or similar services.

Cooking facilities – There is a fully equipped kitchen. Induction cooktop, oven, fridge, and freezer. Microwave, blender, hand mixer, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, waffle iron.

Bathroom facilities

Pool – The pool is 3.5x7 meters and has a salt chlorinator, which means the water tastes salty and is soft and pleasant for the skin. The salt chlorinator, located in the technical room, is automatic and detects exactly how much chlorine is needed to keep the water clean. The long side of the pool is perfectly positioned in a south-facing location. There are 7 sun loungers and two parasols placed by the poolside. The pool is exclusively for guests. We typically maintain the pool temperature between 26-28 degrees Celsius. There is a pool cover that must be kept closed when the pool is not in use, for safety reasons. There are lights in the pool walls, so in the evening, they illuminate beautifully.
Shower – The house has two showers, one in the larger bathroom on the upper floor and a smaller one in the smaller bathroom on the ground floor. The upper bathroom also has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The countertop in that bathroom is made of marble (which is sensitive to stains – so please be careful) but is very beautiful.
WC – There are two toilets, one on the ground floor and one on the upper floor.
Washing machine – There is both a washing machine and a tumble dryer, both from Bosch, 3 years old.

Bicycle rental – There are 4 bicycles in like-new condition available to borrow.
Fishing – Sämsjön has a good variety of fish. A fishing permit is required and can be purchased at the local gas station. Fishing is possible from the shore.
Football ground – There are large grassy areas adjacent to the house.
Golf – There are two golf courses within 30 minutes by car: Herrljunga Golf Club and Ulricehamn Golf Club.
Hiking trails – Hike in forest nature, meadows, and ancient cultural landscapes. In total, there are nearly 13 miles of hiking trails/fitness paths, with the shortest being 1.3 km and the longest 13 km. There is also a pilgrimage trail that is 47.5 km long in its entirety. Minigolf – There is a small mini golf course next to the nearest grocery store (about 2 kilometer away).
Outdoor swimming facilities (beach) – Northern Sämbadet For those who want large grassy areas, access to camping, and a café in the summer, Northern Sämbadet is the perfect choice. The campsite has a beach volleyball court. There are also changing cabins, a barbecue area, two piers, as well as dry toilets and trash bins available. Ollestadsbadet An idyllic outdoor swimming area in Ollestad! It is well-suited for a walk along the point to enjoy the nature. There is access to a barbecue area, a lawn, and dry toilets. Mollasjön Swimming Area A scenic swimming area by the lake in Molla. There is a small beach and piers set up during the summer. Some picnic tables are available where you can enjoy your packed lunch. Jämnesjön Swimming Area For those who want to combine swimming and hiking, the Jämnesjön swimming area, located in Eggvena, is by several hiking trails. The swimming area is by a large stone slab and has a small sandy beach. There is a barbecue area, and in the summer, a pier is also available. Stensjön Swimming Area Stensjön is located along the road between Molla and Od. Here, there is a cozy and scenic swimming area with some benches and tables set up, as well as a barbecue spot. From the swimming area’s parking lot, you can also reach the Fluxfallsleden trail that goes around Stensjön, where you pass a lookout point and the upper part of Fluxfallet.
Riding – We can recommend Stålarp Icelandic Horses, located 15 minutes away by car. It is a very nice stable with friendly horses and a skilled owner who has won awards for her excellent business. Temperate bath – The pool is heated to at least 26 degrees in July, August, and September.
Tennis – The landlord is the only neighbor and is located about 300 meters up the gravel road that connects the properties. There is a tennis court (plexipave) that you can borrow for 1 hour per day during your stay, if interested. Times are agreed upon in consultation with the landlord.
