Cottage at lake/river perfekt canoeing/fishing

The typical Swedish timber house Östra Vintersjön is beautifully placed on a small hill with great views of lake Vintersjön and the Svartälven river. The waterline and the sauna are only 30 meters away from the house.

The timber house: Built around 1900, area 55 m2: Hallway, large kitchen / dining room, bathroom with shower and WC, large bedroom with double bed (160 cm) and smaller bedroom with bunk beds and a singel bed. Large, sheltered veranda facing the lake and the sunset! The cabin has electric heating and complete equipment for cooking your meals: Electric stove and oven, fridge/freezer, coffee machine.
A canoe and a rowing boat come with the house.
On the large property there is a sunny area for swimming and slipping the boat and canoe in the water, a great outdoor fireplace down by the lake, and of course the wood fired sauna house right next to the water with the sheltered terrace facing the sunset over the lake.
The sauna and the lake access for swimming and slipping the canoes is occasionally being shared with guests from the neighbor house Västra Vintersjön. That house is 150 m away situated on its own large property. The sharing has worked fine for many years.

The surroundings: Östra Vintersjön is undisturbed placed in the wilderness of Värmland 30 km northeast of Filipstad (30 min). The only other house by the lake is Västra Vintersjön in 150 m distance. This house is also for rent.
Excellent opportunities for swimming, canoeing, fishing, hiking, biking etc. Lots of blueberries, raspberries, lingonberries and mushrooms can be found just around the corner in the surrounding woods. Sitting by the campfire you can listen to the sound of the loon echoing beautiful across the lake.

Svartälven is a paradise for canoeing! The Svartälven river offers exciting tours in both directions. Search for ”svartälven northern part” to see a detailed map. You can take a short canoe trip into the sunset or go on a longer expedition following the canoe trail. Welcome to Värmland - the heart of Sweden!
