Mountain dwelling in Fjällvilan

We rent out two semi-detached houses ("Eken" and "Gården") of 140m², and each with 12 beds located in Vemdalsskalet.

The houses are available to rent during winter break week 7, 8 and week 9. Price per semi-detached house during week 7 SEK 14,000, week 8 SEK 14,000, week 9 SEK 24,000. Renting during Christmas week or New Years week is SEK 24,000 (swap day Wednesday Christmas/New Year). Cleaning costs of SEK 1,900 will be added on.

Perfect location with a panoramic view from the house's sauna and relaxation area towards the alpine slopes ⛷️. Cross-country tracks and snowmobile trails are available about 300 mts from the plot. It's about 600 mts down to the children's slopes and there is a ski path both to and from the piste.

At the foot of the children´s slopes is Vemdalsskalet Torg (town square) where you will find an ICA supermarket, restaurants, sports bar, after ski, lounge bar, Sibylla, gym, café, interior design shop, sports shop, ski rental and tourist office.

There is plenty of parking on site. There is room for a total of 8 cars (4 cars per semi-detached house).

The semi-detached houses are mirror images, and identical in layout.
Entrance takes place on the respective gables. On the lower floor there is an entrance/hallway, boot/drying room, and a WC/shower at the back of the house. Living areas with living room, dining room, and kitchen are created in an open plan. These areas are located at the front and benefit from the wonderful view towards the mountain Skalsfjället.

Upstairs in each house, there are 4 compact bedrooms with bunk beds (140cm wide lower beds with spring mattresses). Compact bedrooms mean that we were able to maximize the area upstairs to create a common room for the children (with TV, at the back of the house) while at the same time we were able to create generous spaces for shower*2, sauna, and relaxation at the front. Again, with a maximum view towards the mountain Skalsfjället and the illuminated slalom slopes.

Fibre optics is installed, and Internet via Wi-Fi is included.

With us you rent by the week, with swap days on Sundays. Access at the earliest 16:00 on arrival day. Departure at the latest 10:00 on departure day. This year, however, swap day is Wednesday if you rent during Christmas and/or New Year.

Owning a cabin in the mountains has always been a dream to us, and now that we have managed to build one apartment each, in a larger house from the ground up, we have also received the values we would like to have when we stay in the mountains.

Our watchwords when we searched for land, and during construction have been calm, simple, function, quality, and "that little extra".

Things prioritized are therefore:
- Ski route to/from the piste
- Close to the mountain (trail/scooter centre 300 mts behind the cottage)
- Close to fishing
- Qualitative surface layers
- Good drying possibilities
- Maximum of common areas (living room downstairs + Family room upstairs)
- High quality in wet rooms.
- Relax and sauna with panoramic view and balcony.
