Timbered lodge by skiing track in snow proof Harsa

Genuine timbered skiing lodge just 300 metres from the cross country skiing track in snow proof Harsa outside of Järvsö. Only three and a half hours drive from Stockholm and two hours from Gävle. Skiing track directly from the lodge that connects to a track system.

The lodge is highly located and very privately. Eight berths divided on two bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen with a functional iron stove. Spacious, light and airy living room with a bricked open fireplace with an inset. Bathroom with shower and sauna.

Harsa is the Mecca of cross country skiing in southern Norrland and is very snow proof in relation to latitude and distance to Stockholm. The cross country skiing tracks are well kept and offer a diversified terrain and typography, which is suitable for the beginner, the jogger and the elite within cross country skiing. It is not unusual that the elite within the Nordic cross country skiing have their training camps in Harsa.

Harsa is situated 400 metre above the Sea level and here, it is not uncommon with snow from October to April. 80km well prepared skiing tracks in wonderful nature. From 1,5km to 20km classic tracks together with skate tracks of 10km.

The lodge is located just 350 metres from Lake Harsasjön that offer excellent fishing during both winter and summer. During summer Lake Harsasjön offer wonderful swimming possibilities in clear forest lake water. Access to jetty and a rowing boat for lodgers.

A perfect dwelling for the skiing enthusiast, the jogger or you who just seek a calm and stress releasing dwelling by forest and nature with excellent training possibilities and/or relaxing and recreational possibilities.

The lodge is located 18km from Järvsö city centre. Järvsö is beautifully situated by the River Ljusnan’s long valley at the heart of Hälsingland. The beautiful nature combined with sports, activities and pleasure has med Järvsö a popular tourist site. Here you will find the unique and culture historical important Hälsinge farms, which of one (Kristofer’s in Stene) is listed on the UNESCO’s world heritage list. Stenegård in Järvsö is one of Hälsingland’s most visited and appeal annually large crowds. During summer there are a vary of activities for the whole family. Here you will find hand craft shops, galleries, auction houses, bakery, and a visitor centre for the world heritage Hälsinge farms, the children’s Stenegård, creative workshops, restaurant, garden coffee shop, and a large garden together with an herb garden. In Järvsö there is also the Järvsö slope which is Sweden’s 11th largest skiing facility for down hill skiing. The Järvsö slope consists of 19 slopes and eight lifts. The facility has become a favourite amongst families with children. Please read more about Järvsö slope at jarvsobacken.se

During summer, spring and autumn you can instead of skiing visit the Järvsö slope for a bicycle ride down hill. To ride a bike down hill (down hill-bicycling) is an activity that is increasing fast in Sweden and all over the world. Directions:
From the National highway 83 at Nybo south of Järvsö. Turn off towards Harsa. Continue for about 10km. Turn left towards Fluren. Drive for 1km. Turn left onto road Hundvägen. Drive until the end of the road and you are at Hundvägen number 15.
