The house is located on the island of Mjörn (municipality Tjörn) on the west coast. Tjörn offers sun, swimming and rocks. There are picturesque fishing communities here. It takes just under an hour to Gothenburg with, among other things, Liseberg (amusementpark) or north to Nordens Ark (zoo).

This lovely holiday home is perfect for a family.

MJÖRN
Mjörn is an island between Orust and Tjörn, but belongs to Tjörn.

With the fantastic sea (Stigfjord) only 800 meters from the house, Mjörn like a miniature of Norwegian fjord. Here you have everything you wish for, salty baths, hiking trails, sun-drenched cliffs. You can walk on paths to Sundsby Säteri and reward yourself with a fantastic shrimp sandwich in a wonderful environment.

THE COTTAGE
The cozy little cottage have everything you could need. A kitchen, a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower. Living room with sitting area and TV. Base channels via fiber, or German parabol.

3 bedrooms, one with an IKEA Hemness bed (converted into a 105 cm bed, with a thicker mattress) and a bedroom with a bunk bed, and a bedroom with a double bed. There is also a newly built nice sauna in the basement with lounge chairs in the room outside

Note, steep staircase down to the basement.

THE PLOT
The house has three patios, two under roof and a newly laid patio. The plot is completely private.

SEA
The bathing area and the marina are only 800 meters from the house.

Here are benches with lovely views of the Stigfjord to sit and sunbathe on and the opportunity for swimming / swimming from the “bathing mountain”(Badberget)

“Badberget”, has bathing jetties, jumping board, etc. Behind the breakwater you can swim despite the troubled lake, as it is much calmer there. From the bathing mountain, it is also the start and finish of exciting sailing competitions.

Smaller children usually fish for crabs in the warm shallow water on natural stone / sand edge. There they can play and try out their swimming skills.

Out on Stigfjorden, the boats can be seen at annual sailing events around Tjörn. Those who want to be private walk around the mountain and settle on the sun-warmed cliffs.

BOAT / Kayak

It is possible to borrow the mooring if you have a smaller boat down by the bathing area, (size 2.35 * 9 meters)

As the water is shallow, the launch is easy if you have kayaks or a small boat.

BICYCLES
If you have bicycles (or rent at Tjörn or Orust) you can easily get to more bathing places, Sundsby Säteri and at Tjörn there are many nice bike paths.

Here is also the Nordic Watercolor Museum, which is well worth a visit. When you get tired of being indoors, you go to 5 knots and buy an icecream, they have 55 flavors to choose from! Pilane Sculpture Park is closer to Kyrkesund. Walk in beautiful nature and check out fantastic outdoor art. At Sundsby Säteri you can hike, eat well and shop for locally produced foods & crafts.

To the north lies Orust. If you want to visit picturesque fishing communities then go to Hälleviksstrand, Mollösund or the small islands Gullholmen or Käringön which ar located on the western Orust. To the islands you take the ferry and can then enjoy completely car-free environments. On the other side of Tjörnbron you find Stenungsund, only 3 km by sea and 10 km by car. The center of Stenungsund is a well-attended shopping center with many shops and restaurants, as well as a lovely guest harbor.
