Below the cabin lies the lake Äcklingen, offering opportunities for skiing, grilling, and boat trips in the summer. In winter, you can enjoy the tranquility by the lake or take the Fjällhotellet’s small ski slope and ride the Fjällexpressen up to the mountain plateau.

For those wishing to explore more, Anjan Fjällstation, Huså, or Åre are great destinations for day trips. Kallsedet, about 10 km away, has a small convenience store for essentials. For full provisioning, we recommend shopping in Östersund or Järpen on the way to Kolåsen.
