Small cottage in Äggen, close to Sveg

Our little cottage is located in Äggen near Sveg. It is an old barn that my husbands grandfather decorated in two floors with recycled material, locally sawn wood and and second-hand furniture in the late 60s. The cottage has a small kitchen, a large living room, cozy fireplace and bathroom with shower and toilet. There is also an outdoor toilet. We love the cottage, but do not have time to be there as much as we would like. Äggen is a friendly village where most people live permanently and it is close to Svegssjön, to Sveg and also driving distance to hiking and nature. Sveg has one of Sweden's best bathhouses and many flea markets both in the community and out on the farms. In the summer there is often a summer market and there is a lot of beautiful nature to discover. Maybe you want to go up to the sports cabin, swim and have a picknick at Härjeåsjön's windbreak or look for Greta Garbo's statue? Café Cineast is always worth a visit, in the summer they make magically good ice cream. In the winter, it is cross-country skiing or slalom that applies, either if Björnberget is open (local small slope) or if you go to one of the large ski resorts such as Vemdalen just under an hour away.
