KURÖN - an idyllic private island!

Welcome to Kurön, a unique and secluded island located in the heart of Sörmland. Experience a magical place where the stress of everyday life completely disappears. Our holiday accommodation offers an unforgettable summer experience for families, conferences, or gatherings with friends.

At Kurön, you can enjoy the lake, nature, and tranquility, completely without neighbors! Kurön is situated between Stenhammar Castle and Harpsund in Lake Valdemaren, 15 km east of Katrineholm. The charming little red house, covering 55 sqm, is complemented by an additional "sleeping suite" of 30 sqm, along with a separate building housing a modern compost toilet and outdoor shower. There are a total of 6 beds, with 4 in the sleeping suite and 2 in the red cottage. If needed, 2 extra beds can be arranged in the red cottage. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave, as well as a dining area for 6-8 people. Marvelous lake views from the large terrace deck with seating, sun loungers, and an additional dining area. Outdoor kitchen with a large Weber Grill (gas) for all summer barbecue evenings. Down by the bay on a floating dock, there is a newly built wood-fired sauna with a lake view. A bathing cove near the house with a jetty suitable for small children, along with many other swimming opportunities. Inflatable rings, canoe, stand-up paddleboard (SUP), fishing rods, and fishing nets are provided. There is also the opportunity to fish for the finest crayfish that Sörmland has to offer!

To reach Kurön, you travel to the mainland pier where there are two parking spaces. Then you take the boat (Sandström 4m with outboard engine 15hp) to Kurön. The boat trip to the island takes about 10 minutes. In the area around Valdemaren, there are farm shops, commerce, and a wide range of sights, culture, and entertainment!
