Cozy 8-Bed Log Cabin in Lofsdalen, Sweden

Welcome to our authentic log cabin in Lofsdalen with cross-country and snowmobile trails right outside the door and easy access to Swedens best MTB area.

A cozy log cabin located in the Hovärken area in Lofsdalen. The cabin has an excellent location with cross-country and snowmobile trails right outside and is within walking distance (about 10 minutes) to the village's center (where you find restaurants, grocery store etc). To reach the ski slopes, the easiest way is by car (about 5 minutes), or for the more energetic, you can walk about 700 meters to the nearest transport route. With a bit of effort, you can ski-in to the cabin.

Winter
Lofsdalen offers 25 slopes and the highest vertical drop (492 m) south of Åre. For cross-country skiing, the trail ”Övre Byspåret” is right next to the cabin, and if you want to reach the trail center at Hovärken, it is 2 km away by car. From there, several of Lofsdalen's best cross-country trails start. In total, there are 122 km of cross-country trails in Lofsdalen. Lofsdalen is also known for its many snowmobile trails and its magnificent variety of exciting forest trails, trails over mountain slopes, and trails in open mountain terrain.

Summer
Lofsdalen is a paradise for those who love the mountains. Easily accessible hiking in magnificent mountain landscapes, a small sandy beach for swimming in the middle of the village, and excellent fishing for trout, char, grayling, pike, and perch in lakes, tarns, and running waters. For the adventurous, there is also the opportunity to spot bears, and a very good chance of seeing reindeers.

You will also find excellent mountain biking in Lofsdalen. Lofsdalen Mountain Park MTB was recentely crowned Sweden's best MTB area in 2024. Lofsdalen Mountain Park MTB offers a network of trails for mountain biking in a spectacular mountain environment at 800 meters above sea level, with the focus on the stunning view. Lofsdalen has three mountain biking areas with different difficulty levels and a total of 25 km of bike trails. If you want to bike downhill, Lofsdalen Bike Park has various trails and a chairlift to take you back up.

Dogs are warmly welcome in our cabin, but not on the beds or the sofa. There is a dog bed and bowls for food and water available to borrow. We also have a small dog yard attached to the shed outside.

The cabin is non-smoking.

The cabin is a 79 sqm log cabin (Sonfjällsstuga) with three bedrooms and a total of eight beds.

HALL
In the hallway, there is a sturdy coat rack with plenty of space to hang your things and an older model drying cupboard.

BATHROOM
Well-kept bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine, and sauna.

KITCHEN
New kitchen (2024) with all modern conveniences such as fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster.

LIVING ROOM
Spacious and cozy living room with plenty of space for both relaxing on the sofa or hanging out around the rustic dining table. The living room also has a fireplace/stove that provides nice warmth and a cozy atmosphere. If you'd prefer to watch TV, there is an Apple TV with various streming services, and a DVD player. In the cupboard near the kitchen table, there are movies, books, and a few games and puzzles to borrow.

BEDROOM 1
This bedroom has a new 180 cm wide bed (2024) and two wardrobes with plenty of storage space.

BEDROOM 2
Bedroom 2 has a custom-built bunk bed with a 120 cm wide lower bunk (new mattress 2024) and a 90 cm wide upper bunk, providing a total of 2+1 sleeping spots.

BEDROOM 3
In bedroom 3, there are two 90 cm wide bunk beds, providing a total of four sleeping spots and a double wardrobe. The mattresses on the lower bunks are new (2024).

DECK
From the living room, there is access to a large deck facing south. On the deck, there is a small charcoal grill and a picnic table. During the summer and fall, there are also two comfortable deck chairs with footrests.

STORAGE SHED + DOG YARD
By the parking lot is the storage shed, where there is space to store skis, bikes, etc. In the shed, there are also some sledges, "stjärtlappar" (sledge-like equipment), and snow racers that our guests are welcome to borrow. In the back section of the shed, there is a designated area for the dog, with access to the dog yard.

Wireless WiFi with unlimited data is included.

During peak season (winter), we only rent out entire weeks. Changeover day is Sunday, with check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 09:00. At other times, we also rent out shorter stays upon request.
