Cozy Cottage by the Sea

Skeppsmalen is a historic fishing village and part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Höga Kusten. If you're seeking the sea, seclusion, peace and quiet, or a place for love and romance, this is the perfect spot for you.
The cottage is about 45 square meters and consists of a large room with a kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed, and a sleeping loft with a 140 cm wide bed. For best comfort, a maximum of four adults is recommended.

There is a very fresh and charming outhouse right next to it, as well as an outdoor shower that is in use from mid-May to October. During periods when the shower is not in use, guests often appreciate one of Sweden's coolest water parks in the town of Paradisbadet—a dream spot for the little ones. In this house, you enjoy life differently than in everyday life.

Running water is available in the kitchen from mid-May to October. During other times, we provide water containers for washing, hygiene, and cooking. Note that there is no freezer.
The house is about 70 meters from the water. Bed linen and towels can be rented for 100 SEK per bed. Inside the cottage, there is a fireplace, and outdoors, there is a fire pit for cozy evenings.

From mid-May to early October, outdoor furniture is available on the terrace, and a grill can be borrowed. In the area around Skeppsmalen, there are historical remains, and a half-hour walk takes you to Vårdkasberget with a magnificent view of the coast. It's a fantastic place to wander, and for paddlers, there's a grand archipelago. Sea kayaks with equipment can be rented at Naturkompaniet in Själevad, a few miles south of Örnsköldsvik.

I hope you enjoy the place, the sea, and the house, but it is not meant for parties. It is also not a good place for small children, as there are steep cliffs, or for people with walking difficulties. The terrace lacks a railing, but we have a child safety solution that we usually set up when needed. The lack of a railing is so that you can lie in bed and see the sunset over the sea.

Visitors appreciate the tranquility both inside and out. The sky often offers fantastic sunsets, perfect to enjoy from the bed. If you want to be alone for a while or have a romantic weekend, this is an excellent choice.

The house is about 30 minutes from Örnsköldsvik and 20 minutes from the E4. There is another property on the plot that is rarely occupied during the rental periods, but it can happen that someone stays there.
